Microorganisms touch all of our lives in a pronounced way, think COVID-19! However, they also permeate our favourite forms of popular culture, literature, movies, and video games. To learn more, we’ll be delving into how microbes are represented in popular culture and how accurate their portrayal is. I’m a massive geek, so we’ll also look into some of my favourite examples of how diseases are woven into some notable video games and how epidemiologists actually used a popular game to model human responses for a disease outbreak!
